DevOps Engineer
Remote, worldwide · US business hours
US-based, cloud-native B2B SaaS company in the PropTech space
Our client builds software that helps property businesses run their day-to-day operations. They’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure team and own a wide scope: deployments, cloud infrastructure, observability and performance.
What you’ll do
- Resolving pipeline and deployment issues across a GitOps stack (Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD, Kubernetes)
- Improving application and database performance: query analysis, RDS configuration, connection pooling, New Relic APM, capacity planning
- Managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, ELB, VPC, S3, RDS for PostgreSQL) and migrating it to Terraform
- Keeping Kubernetes healthy: Helm charts, cluster operations, resource tuning
- Improving observability with New Relic, CloudWatch and GuardDuty: alerts, dashboards, incident response, post-mortems
- Supporting security: IAM hygiene, Snyk vulnerability triage, backup integrity, SOC 2 evidence
- Managing the access lifecycle via Auth0 and Keycloak
What you bring
- Strong AWS fundamentals, operated at scale
- Production Kubernetes: real debugging, resource tuning, Helm releases
- GitOps experience (ArgoCD, Flux or comparable)
- Terraform proficiency and the ability to drive an IaC migration
- Solid CI/CD experience (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions or similar)
- Ability to read a slow query explain plan and discuss it with backend developers
- New Relic or comparable APM experience
- Experience in a SOC 2 or similarly regulated environment
- Availability during US business hours
Nice to have
- Auth0, Keycloak, SAML/OIDC or similar
- Snyk or similar scanning tools
- Experience supporting Django or Next.js backends
- AWS, CKA, Terraform or security certifications
